Caratulator is a program to print CD, DVD, and VHS covers. This program comes with many built-in templates which fit the dimensions of the most common media covers.
If you have scanned partial images of the original covers, the program will let you put the corresponding images into the right place within the templates (front, inlay, and back). Caratulator will also allow you to include the image of full covers into a template that will resize them to the right dimensions when printed. It is also possible to use this program to acquire the images directly from a scanner. You can then rotate or modify the image using its built-in editor, or any editor that you prefer. You can even include text to any section of your cover, using the program’s own text editor.
Caratulator includes a "Search for Covers" button that will take you to MegaSearch, a covers search engine where you can find and download all the right images for your projects.
Pros
- It is free
- It prints labels with the exact dimensions needed to fit in regular jewel cases
Cons
- None
AWESOME !! :Yahoo!: This program looks awesome. I am installing it now. I think this is an excellent idea - simple. So many programs include this, that, and everything and often become very confusing or overly complicated. This is as it is - get a picture, the program helps you size it right and you're DONE. The search feature for MegaSearch is just a wonderful and unexpected pleasure of a bonus!
Does Caratulator come in English?
YES, 'guest' it does come in English. I just downloaded it and it was just 'IN ENGLISH' - I always pay attention to language or language choices, because I live in Sweden, but am from the U.S. and I prefer English. I was not able to select any other language choice with this particular setup program.Just make sure you download the .exe from an English speaking website, I saw that it was available on some Spanish sites, and I believe those setup.exe programs probably automatically set up a Spanish language program, right?:good:
Snow BunnyInfidel, Hi, I am the developer of this application, It's amazing that after so many years, it is still working and being useful. The original application language is spanish, so I hope the english translation was good enough though :) Cheers
